The ERFC.PRECISE function accepts 

  • This function was introduced in Excel 2010 and so is not available in earlier versions. However, it is similar to the ERFC function, which is available in earlier versions of Excel.

=ERFC.PRECISE(x)

#VALUE! Occurs if the supplied argument x is non-numeric

The Complementary Error Function is equal to 1 – ERF, i.e. (1 – Error Function), and is given by the equation:

    \[ Erfc(x)= \frac{2}{\sqrt{\pi}} \int_x^{\infty} e^{-t^2}\ dt \]
