The SHEET function returns the Sheet number for a specified reference.

  • This function was introduced in Excel 2013 and so is not available in earlier versions.

Syntax

=SHEET([reference])

Arguments

Argument Description
[reference] The [reference] argument is a reference to an Excel sheet or a part of an Excel sheet. This is an optional argument which, if omitted, defaults to the sheet that contains the function.
