The ABS function returns the absolute value, the modulus, of a supplied number. The absolute value of a number is the number without its sign.

Syntax

=ABS(number)

Arguments

Argument Description
number The real number of which you want the absolute value. The number argument can be supplied to the function as either a simple number, a reference to a cell containing a number, or as a numeric value returned from another function or formula
