The SIN function returns the sine of the given angle.

Syntax

=SIN(number)

Arguments

number The angle, in radians, that you want to calculate the sine of

Note: If the angle is in degrees, you need to be convert it to radians before supplying it to the SIN function. You can convert it, using the RADIANS function: =RADIANS(degrees)

    \[    sin(A) = \frac a{h}    \]
