The CHISQ.INV function returns the inverse of the left-tailed probability of the chi-squared distribution.

  • This function was introduced in Excel 2010 and so is not available in earlier versions.

Syntax

=CHISQ.INV(probability,deg_freedom)

Arguments

Argument Description
probability A probability associated with the chi-squared distribution
deg_freedom The number of degrees of freedom – must be an integer between 1 and 1010
