The LOGNORM.DIST function returns the Log-Normal Probability Density or the Cumulative Log-Normal Distribution for a supplied value of x.

• This function was introduced in Excel 2010 and so is not available in earlier versions.
• The LOGNORM.DIST function replaces the LOGNORMDIST function included in earlier versions of Excel.

### Syntax

=LOGNORM.DIST(x,mean,standard_dev,cumulative)

#### Arguments

Argument Description
x The value at which to evaluate the log-normal distribution function
mean The arithmetic mean of ln(x)
standard_dev The standard deviation of ln(x)
cumulative A logical value that determines the form of the function

 TRUE – returns the cumulative distribution function FALSE – returns the probability density function
