The LOGNORM.INV function returns the inverse of the log-normal cumulative distribution function of x,  for a supplied probability, e.g. if p = LOGNORM.DIST(x,…) then LOGNORM.INV(p,…) = x.

• This function was introduced in Excel 2010 and so is not available in earlier versions.
• The LOGNORM.INV function replaces the LOGINV function included in earlier versions of Excel.

### Syntax

=LOGNORM.INV(probability,mean,standard_dev)

#### Arguments

Argument Description
probability The value at which you want to evaluate the inverse function
mean The arithmetic mean of ln(x)
standard_dev The standard deviation of ln(x)
