The NORM.S.INV function returns the inverse of the standard normal cumulative distribution. The distribution has a mean of zero and a standard deviation of one.

  • This function was introduced in Excel 2010 and so is not available in earlier versions.
  • The NORM.S.INV function replaces the NORMSINV function included in earlier versions of Excel.

Syntax

=NORM.S.INV(probability)

Arguments
