The PERCENTRANK.INC function returns the relative position, between 0 and 1, inclusive, of a specified value within a supplied array.

• This function was introduced in Excel 2010 and so is not available in earlier versions.
• The PERCENTRANK.INC function replaces the PERCENTRANK function included in earlier versions of Excel.

Syntax

=PERCENTRANK.INC(array,x,[significance])

Arguments

Argument Description
array The array or range of data with numeric values that defines relative standing
x The specific value that you want to calculate the relative position of

 • x must be within the range of the values in the supplied array, but it does not need to be exactly equal to one of the values
[significance] Optional. A value that identifies the number of significant digits for the returned percentage value. If omitted, PERCENTRANK.INC uses three digits (0.xxx)
