Riding the Waves

"Riding the Waves"

The ocean calls my name,
A soothing, constant refrain,
As I make my way to the shore,
To ride the waves once more.

The Hawaiian sun beats down,
As the surf comes crashing round,
With each swell, my heart takes flight,
As I paddle with all my might.

The salt in the air, the wind in my hair,
I feel alive, without a care,
As I pop up and ride the wave,
All my troubles, I leave behind in a cave.

The water is warm, the ride is long,
I'm where I belong,
With each crest, I feel renewed,
Riding the waves, nothing else to do.

The sun sets, the day is done,
But my love for the surf will never be gone,
For I'll be back, with the dawn's first light,
To ride the waves, again and again, all through the night.
